New Mazda Vehicles Aimed at Luxury Market

2019 Mazda CX-5 Interior

Mazda has long retained a loyal following over the years. The brand’s consistency and focus is a welcome breath of fresh air in an industry with so many ups and downs. For years, Mazda has been a reliable source of affordable, fun-to-drive vehicles. New Mazda vehicles are becoming options that take the brand in a new direction: the luxury market.

The transition has been slow and meticulous. Mazda’s goal is not only to appeal to new demographics, but to grow with their old fan base, too. As millennials get better jobs and begin to earn more spare cash, Mazda wants to offer these loyal enthusiasts new premium options that compete with high-end brands such as BMW and Audi.

A few of these options can already be seen making waves. All 500 of the brand’s MX-5 Miata 30th Anniversary Editions sold out the same day it debuted in Chicago. Additionally, many vehicles in the Mazda lineup now offer a range-topping “Signature” trim with amenities ranging from Nappa leather to wood accents.

Does this mean new Mazda vehicles will only be available at higher price points? Of course not. The company’s aim is to keep producing the kind of vehicles longtime fans love while also offering luxury at a more affordable price point.
