Mazda has recently unveiled the new-generation of the Mazda2 subcompact car, and we’re excited that it will come with all the latest of Mazda’s innovative design and engineering. We have the scoop for you here!

The Mazda2 is experiencing its first redesign in seven years, and is joining ranks with the new-generation Mazda CX-5, Mazda3, and Mazda6. It will be the fourth vehicle in the automaker’s lineup to feature Mazda’s innovative SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and the signature design language, KODO – Soul of Motion.

In a video reveal of the new Mazda2, Mazda president and CEO, Masamichi Kogai, stated that “these new models incorporate Mazda’s SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY that improves not only the engine but also the transmission, the body, and the chassis to revolutionize fundamental performance; KODO – Soul of Motion design; our most advanced safety technologies; and our new connectivity system. The new Mazda2 integrates all of these innovative Mazda technologies into a sleek, compact body.”

We’re very excited about the Mazda2 with its new redesign and integrative technology, and can’t wait to test drive it! The model is currently being built at the Mazda Hofu Plant No. 1 in Japan, and it will be shipped to dealerships globally this fall. We’ll be sure to let you know when the all-new Mazda2 arrives here at Wantagh Mazda, so stay tuned!
