Families in Long Island have multiple opportunities this spring and summer to catch Big Bird, Elmo, and their visitor from China, Hu Hu Zhu, at the One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure Daytime Planetarium Show. This educational event takes place at the Vanderbilt Museum, where there’s plenty to see and do, so it’s a perfect family outing for a rainy day or for a hot summer afternoon.
During the One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure Daytime Planetarium Show, the familiar hosts of Sesame Street will explore the night sky in a way that’s fun and entertaining for younger audiences. During the show, audience members will learn about the moon, the sun, the Big Dipper, and the North Star.
Dates for this planetarium show run from April 19, 2019 to August 31, 2019. Tickets must be purchased in person on the day of the show. Each ticket includes admission to the planetarium, as well as general access to many other portions of the museum, like the Hall of Fishes, the Memorial Wing, the Nursery Wing, and the Habitat & Stoll Wing. The Vanderbilt Museum is open 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the spring, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., so come early and spend some time exploring and learning!
If you need a new vehicle to get to the museum, consider a new Mazda model from Wantagh Mazda.
