Mazda July Sales Best in 21 Years

U.S. Mazda July sales are up an impressive 17.1 percent year-over-year, with 29,238 units sold across the United States. So far in 2014 Mazda has sold 185,669 units, which is an overall increase of 9.3 percent for the year.

“Mazda3, Mazda6 and CX-5 continue to show strong gains month after month as more and more customers realize the benefits of SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY,” said Ron Stettner, vice president of sales, MNAO. “Mazda hasn’t sold this many vehicles in the month of July since 1993. A big part of that success is building the brand and showing customers that buying a Mazda isn’t buying an economy car on discount, it is buying a near-premium experience for a great value.”

The Mazda3 has always been the brand’s volume leader, and July is no exception. 9,381 units sold, which is a 1.6 percent year-over-year increase.

2015 Mazda CX-5 even Better with Skyactiv

2015 Mazda CX-5 even Better with Skyactiv

Mazda has been planning the Skyactiv revolution for a long time now—and with the 2015 Mazda CX-5, that radical redefinition of the Mazda brand has finally exploded onto the scene. What makes the Skyactiv technology so powerful and different, then? While in “normal” cars, all the different systems under the hood—the chassis, drivetrain, suspension, etc—are designed separately, the Skyactiv system comes all as one integrated technology, which means the whole thing works in perfect harmony.

The Skyactiv suite technology isn’t just interesting for its groundbreaking integration. With Skyactiv, the 2015 model of the CX-5 is lighter, more efficient, and more powerful. The 2-15 CX-5 will be available in three trims levels: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring. The Sport runs on a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that gives you 155 horsepower when paired with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Plus, that engine provides great fuel economy—35 mpg highway and 26 mpg city.

The Hampshire Review says that the Mazda CX-5 is “an excellent choice for a young family or an empty-nester couple…it’s entertaining to drive, stylish to look at and illustrates that Skyactiv is more than a strange name.” Come visit us at Wantagh Mazda and we’ll let the CX-5 illustrate its greatness for you personally!
